How to Fletch Arrows

Fletching arrows can be easy!

Equipment for Fletching Arrows

You're getting into the archery scene and you want to fletch your own arrows! Awesome! There are a few items you will need to buy to get started! First, you will need arrow vanes. Arrow vanes come in many sizes, etc. I use Bohning Blazers for both competition and hunting. They come in many colors and I love the options!

Second, you will need a fletching jig. There are many great fletching jigs on the market. For simplicity and affordability, I use the Goat Tuff Arrow Fletcher. It is easy to use and gets the job done well! Watch the video to see it in action!

Third! Don't forget the glue! Having the right glue is important. Use glue made to fletch arrows. I use the Blazer Bond glue from Bohning Archery.

Fourth! You will need to buy denatured alcohol and have some cotton swabs ready to go. Clean both your arrow shaft with the denatured alcohol and your arrow vanes before gluing them on to your arrow. It's important to get the best bond from your vane to your arrow as possible. So keep the arrow and vanes clean with denatured alcohol first.

Practice makes perfect! Keep fletching those arrows and the more you do it, the easier it becomes! Hope y'all enjoy the video!
